Woman who swam across Davao Gulf found, rescued
A 23-year-old woman was rescued by the Philippine Coast Guard on Friday, April 19, after swimming approximately 1.8 kilometers across the Pakiputan Channel from Coaco Beach in Barangay Pampanga, Davao City to Samal Island. Personnel from the Coast Guard Sub-Station Caliclic responded after the CGS IGACOS received a call around 5 p.m. The woman, a resident of Barangay Panyalom, Paquibato District, struggled with strong currents upon arrival.CGS IGACOS
