Super Typhoon Pepito to exit Monday
MANILA, Philippines — After lashing many areas in Luzon and Visayas, Super Typhoon Pepito will exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) Monday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
In its 5 p.m. bulletin, Pagasa said Signal No. 5 remains up over the central portion of Aurora (Dipaculao, Baler, Dinalungan, Maria Aurora, Casiguran and San Luis), the southern portion of Quirino (Nagtipunan), and the southern portion of Nueva Vizcaya (Alfonso Castañeda, Dupax del Norte, Dupax del Sur, Kasibu, Aritao and Bambang) in Luzon.
The super typhoon moving northwestward at 25 kilometers per hour (kph) with maximum sustained winds of 185 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 305 kph.
