-HOW TO GET TO SIPALAY–

Take the direct bus from Bacolod (about 5 hours) to Sipalay town. Or a minivan (p350). Minivan is a bit faster than the big bus, but since it might take a longer time to leave and you’re more cramped inside, I am not sure what the best option would be. I like the big bus better 😉

From Dumaguete: take a bus to Bayawan, Hinoba-an. It will cost you 6 to 7 hours. It will cost you just over 200 pesos with public transport (p120 + p75 + p35). If you hire a van it would be 5000 in total, which is not worth it if you are a solo traveler like me 😉 If you stay in Dauin, no need to go to the busstop in town. It’ll pass by the resort. Unless you want to be certain to be seated 😉

And it might seem complicated (as a foreigner) to go from bus to bus, but people are very helpful along the way and if you leave one bus, the next one will be already there! No worries. It’s just a day you lose on traveling. But it’s worth it 😉
