Shear line, ‘amihan’ to bring scattered rains in most parts of PH – PAGASA
The northeast monsoon, locally called “amihan,” and the shear line will continue to bring cloudy skies and scattered rains in most parts of the country in the next 24-hour period, the state weather bureau said on Saturday, Dec. 24.
Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) Weather Specialist Daniel Villamil said the low pressure area (LPA) being monitored inside the country’s boundary has already dissipated. Currently, two weather systems are affecting the country: the northeast monsoon and the shear line.
