
More faithful expected to attend dawn masses
WITH Covid-19 restrictions eased, Catholic Churches in the Philippines expect more devotees to flock to the nine-day, pre-Christmas Simbang Gabi.
“We are more relaxed now compared to the previous years at the height of the pandemic,” Fr. Earl Allyson Valdez, attached priest of the Quiapo Church and Media Correspondent for Nazareno 2023, told The Manila Times on Thursday. “Since we now have a more expanded capacity in churches, more people can now go to church this year for the traditional Simbang Gabi.”
Valdez said what has been retained is the wearing of masks.
