Marcos orders govt agencies: Focus on critical areas
MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Wednesday ordered all government agencies to focus on “critical areas” that were severely affected by the heavy rains spawned by a typhoon-enhanced southwest monsoon.
Marcos said this as he led a situation briefing at the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) Headquarters in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City on Wednesday.
“Our response so far has been good. I just told them to focus carefully on those areas that are presently isolated,” Marcos told reporters in a chance interview.
