DoJ pressed to probe issuance of illegal work visas

SEN. Mary Grace Poe called on the Department of Justice (DoJ) to investigate the reported issuance of work visas to foreigners allegedly hired by about 500 “fake firms” amid security concerns.

The DoJ said that the Bureau of Immigration (BI) had issued pre-arranged employment (9G) visas to foreigners hired by fake local companies.
