SEN. Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go visited Cavite and provided aid to typhoon victims in Bacoor City and Kawit on Friday, November 4.
Later that day, Go also led the relief operation for more disaster victims in Taguig City, assisting hundreds of fire victims.
Reaffirming his advocacy to help build a more disaster-resilient nation, Go continues to champion the passage of two priority bills that would create the Department of Disaster Resilience and set up evacuation centers across the country.
Senate Bill (SB) 188, or the “Disaster Resilience Act,” seeks to create a cabinet-secretary level department that will develop and implement holistic measures to improve the government’s capability to respond to calamities and other disasters.
